About My Best Singapore
My Best Singapore is an editorial guide to the island's best food, shops and services, from hawker centres and the CBD to the HDB heartland towns.
A small island with very high standards
Singapore is small enough to cross in about an hour, yet its residents are some of the most discerning customers anywhere. People compare hawker stalls the way others compare restaurants, read the fine print on a renovation quote and expect their clinic, tuition centre or aircon technician to turn up on time. Choice is never the problem here; knowing which option deserves your money is.
Inside My Best Singapore
We publish short rankings of the businesses that lead their field in more than twenty-five categories: food and cuisine, restaurants, home and renovation, health, beauty, technology, education, finance, transport and more. Every entry lists the essentials, from block and unit number to phone and opening hours, with a line on what the business does best.
Heartlands matter
Most Singaporeans live in HDB towns, and some of the island's most trusted businesses sit in their neighbourhood centres and coffee shops. We cover Ang Mo Kio, Bedok and Yishun with the same care as Orchard Road and Tiong Bahru. A family clinic in Clementi or a zi char stall in Hougang can matter more to its neighbours than any famous name.
Method, in brief
We research every category across the island, from Jurong to Pasir Ris and from Woodlands to the CBD, look at the track record each business has built with its customers, and confirm the essentials before publication. Lists are reviewed on a regular schedule.
For residents, newcomers and visitors
The guide is for Singaporeans looking for a better option near home or the office, for expatriate families and new arrivals who need a doctor, a school or a contractor, and for visitors who want to eat beyond the hotel lobby. It is also useful when you move to a new estate and want to know which local businesses the residents rely on.
